The Digital Team Lead at MESH is pivotal in developing and executing innovative digital strategies that drive impactful results and align seamlessly with our clients’ marketing and strategic goals. This position involves leading the agency’s digital services from discovery to reporting while fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and ensures that all digital initiatives resonate with the client’s brand identity.
Digital Products & Services
The Digital Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing a variety of essential digital products and services, including:
- Websites: Lead the design and development of responsive sites using Webflow and WordPress, collaborating with the team to ensure seamless user experiences that effectively reflect brand identity.
- Digital Marketing: Lead and strategize initiatives across social media, SEO, and email marketing to enhance brand loyalty and engagement; empower the team to implement strategies that increase organic traffic, foster community, and effectively connect with current and potential customers.
- Performance Management: Provide leadership and tools to measure, analyze, and optimize digital performance, driving the team to develop data-driven strategies that align with overall business goals.
- Social, SEO & Web Audits: Lead comprehensive audits to identify opportunities for improvement in social media, SEO practices, and website performance, empowering team members to contribute insights and solutions.
- Digital Strategy: Collaborate with the team to develop detailed strategies, including launch and go-to-market plans, along with email journeys or automations that enhance customer engagement.
- Analytics and Reporting: Utilize analytics tools to monitor and measure performance metrics, guiding the team in reporting insights back to clients and facilitating necessary strategic adjustments.

Role Responsibilities
- Oversee the agency’s quality and delivery of digital work, ensuring alignment with client expectations, audience engagement, and brand identity.
- Lead the development of digital strategies and audits while ensuring integration of eMarketing, SEO, SEM, and social media into overall project initiatives.
- Ensure that all digital content adheres to established visual and verbal brand guidelines, maintaining consistency across online platforms.
- Facilitate creative and digital unification by collaborating with the creative team on pitches and projects, ensuring that innovative digital solutions are integrated into overall creative strategies.
- Manage the digital staff and product, ensuring all digital operations meet agency standards, including comprehensive time tracking, management of PTO requests, and execution of professional development plans for team members.
- Conduct monthly one-on-one check-ins with direct reports, alongside quarterly and annual performance reviews.
- Consult with strategy and brand management teams to develop innovative digital solutions that effectively engage and excite clients.
- Maintain client satisfaction by ensuring high-quality digital deliverables and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Research, secure, and oversee the implementation of A.I. technology and other emerging digital tools for creative and digital execution, enhancing efficiency and product effectiveness while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Assess and create efficiencies in digital workflow processes to ensure optimal time management and allocation on client projects.
Creative Technology
- Develop consistently superior digital products and content that meet and exceed client expectations.
- Exhibit leadership in executing fresh, innovative digital concepts that enhance response strategies and drive measurable results for clients.
- Stay informed on industry trends, audience insights, and emerging digital channels to ensure the adoption of best practices for both digital and traditional marketing products.
Communication & Leadership Duties
- Support new business sales pitches targeting digital services to drive revenue, developing, presenting, and selling digital solutions to clients.
- Clearly communicate the digital rationale behind strategies to clients, articulating the business reasons for each decision while actively listening to client feedback and developing responsive solutions.
- Mentor and inspire digital teams to maximize their potential, fostering a culture of problem-solving and creative excellence.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ years managing digital teams in a marketing agency or a combination of agency/vendor side experience
- 5+ years of digital marketing experience
- Must have strong experience in integrated campaigns, website development, social media and email marketing
- Superior strategic thinking skills (written, visual and conceptual)
- Ability to meet aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple priorities
- Excellent client service and presentation skills
- Self-starter and a positive interaction with a wide range of individuals is expected
- Moderate knowledge of Google Workspace & Microsoft Office applications
- Broad understanding of branding, marketing analytics, web accessibility, and cybersecurity
- Strong corporate identity and branding experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge of digital channels such as paid and organic social, web, search engine optimization, and email, as well as a basic understanding of user experience across multi-channel touchpoints
- Knowledge of principles and best practices for all marketing.
